1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 New Living Translation (NLT)
2 For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. 3 When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape.
For the day of the Lord is not known by anyone but God. Not one scholar or professor knows even the day. The Day of the Lord, his second coming of his return will come when they least expected it as it will come unexpectedly it is written in his word. When we are most comfortable and settled in how things are in life feeling at peace and secure in the way things are sudden disaster will prevail as fierce as if a women’s labor pains begin. In this time there will be no escape it will devour all. There will be no turning away to run.
