Do not love this world not the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.
For the word says in 1 John 2:15-16
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.
What this is saying is that we should not conform into this world or anything in its offers we should not love this world or the items or materialistic things or lifestyles and actions of this world. For should we love the world conformity and what it has to offer than we do not love The Father or the Holy Spirit in us. For by loving all it has to offer we are pushing our love for The father away. For all that the world offers is physical pleasures a wanting for all we see in it and the power of pride we see in all our achievements and possessions are of this world, not from The Father they are what creates sin and makes us live sinful ungodly lifestyles. He is not pleased in anyway with the ways of this world, he wants us to take no part in the actions of love for the world and wants us to take no parts in it. For if we really love The Father than we live free of sin in way with the father.
