Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.

Teach your children the way to be respectful of elders and one another. To love and care for one another. Do not treat them with disrespect or in such ways that it instigates your child to become angered for they will only treat others as they have been taught. If you treat your children in hostile inappropriate ways that is how they will live and it usually comes out in anger and violence rather than respect and good. However if they learn respect than they will respect the world and everything in it filling it with kindness. So instead treat your children with respect and raise the in a non hostile environment with gentle discipline and instruction of a godly nature and a Christian life take them by the hand and show them in the plain actions how to love one another and be loved so that when they rise and grow they will not treat others in hostility and anger leading to acts of violence. Teach them to be in God’s image as he would teach. Jesus wouldn’t want to see it any other way, and he’d frown down upon it. It all begins at birth and how the mother and father teach their children.
