3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”

3 Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. 4 They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”
I want to remind you that in these last days those who lack faith and mock the truth, followers and believers will ridicule those with the truth and follow the nature of their very own desires not of God’s. They will be filled with lust and pride. They will say what happened to the words Jesus said when he said he would come again? Where is his promise of his coming? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the beginning of time. There will be a change but those who live in evil will make sport in faith rather than following the word and teachings of God.these people will be hostile and wicked in their ways.
