Perilous Times and Perilous Men
3 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, [b]unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
2 Timothy 3:1-5 New Living Translation (NLT)
The Dangers of the Last Days
3 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
In the last days will be difficult times of tribulations. They will be ungrateful and arrogant, they will be living and loving of the ungodly. They will have no self control and will be unforgiving to others. They will be filled in hate of that which is good and filled with pure detestation. They will turn away and betray their loved ones and friends and filled with pride, they will increase in love for pleasures and not that of God. They will act religious but will renounce the power that would make them godly. These are people who are known as unyoked of the word these are people we are told to stay away from and do not associate ourselves with. People who are unyoked will make us as believers stray and falter they will bring us down and turn us from God.
