Live In Him

Genesis 3:22

Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”—

The Lord God said, “Just like one of us, the man can now tell the difference between good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out and pick fruit from the tree of life and eat it. If he does, he will live forever.

Genesis 9:3

Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.

Everything of the earth that lives and moves is food for man.Just as I also gave the green herbs and plants, I have given you everything.

God has given man everything including freedom and knowledge he wants to give the gift of abundance because he loves you and I as man he says I have given you everything from living to plants including the knowledge to know good from evil we can’t ask for more and he tells us not to eat from the fruit from the tree of life and if we abide in obedience to Him in this knowledge man (we) shall live forever

Put Your Trust In The Lord

The Bible says

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Put your trust in the Lord with all your heart everything you have, lean not on the knowledge of man but in all you do acknowledge Him and he will guide your ways

God wants a relationship of trust and respect from us he wants to help lead you in the way that’s right that you are always loved and safe

It says in 2 Samuel 22:3

2 Samuel 22:3

The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.

Saying…The God in who brings me strength and is my great protection which in who I am safe he protects me like a shield defending me and keeping me from harm he is my savior he keeps me from violence and safe of harm

God wants our trust in him and a relationship with him so that he can build us up in image of him and strengthen who we are and protect and lead us from going astray in a guidance that is safe for us

When Temptation Calls, Just Hang Up

Shane Linville

5 months ago

“A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is arrogant and careless” (Proverbs 14:16).

It’s common sense that if you don’t want to get stung, stay away from the bees! If you don’t want to get burned, don’t get close to the fire! If you don’t want to fall off the cliff, don’t hang off the ledge!

The goal is not to see how close you can get to temptation but rather how far away from it you can stay.

Proverbs 14:16 says, “A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is arrogant and careless”. You might think you can handle temptation, but who are we kidding? You need to do a frank assessment. You need to analyze when and where you are most tempted and vulnerable. Then you need to stay away from those situations as much as you can.

The Bible says to run from temptation: “I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws” (Psalm 119:59). If you have to physically remove yourself, do it! When Potiphar’s wife tempted Joseph, he left his coat and split. Sometimes you may have to leave your coat. Get out of the situation. Run from it. Don’t stick around.

When you’re tempted, get up and change the channel. Or turn on music. Go for a walk. Read the Bible. Call a Christian friend in your small group. Do something to break the spell.

Here is some practical advice: Don’t ever try to argue with the Devil. You’ll lose every time. He’s had thousands of years to think up lines to counter anything you could come up with. Don’t rationalize it. Don’t justify it. Don’t argue it. The key thing to do is break the focus. Don’t look at the cookies and repeat, “I don’t want them! I don’t want them!” Turn around! The more you fight a feeling, the more it grows in intensity.

When temptation calls you on the phone, don’t try to argue. Just hang up, and go do something else.

In His Holiness

Hebrews 12:14

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

Walk in peace with all people and in a holy life for without it no one will see the Lord

When we walk in peace with holiness we will see Gods glory and evidence of his love, miracles will happen around us and God will show he is with us

1 Chronicles 16:29

Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!

praise the lord praise his name all people of the flesh bring forth your gifts and stand before him in worship in his temple and bow in honor of his name and accept him in his holiness

When we praise the lord and his name we show respect and glory in honor of him who is holy and see the Lord in his holiness

Want to Be Like Jesus? Spend Time with Him

Shane Linville /

“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith” (Hebrews 12:2).

You’ve likely heard this old cliché: “You can’t soar with the eagles if you’re running with the turkeys.”

That’s a great lesson for your kids to remember, but it has ramifications for our spiritual lives as well.

You should invest less time in certain relationships because they’ll drag you down. If you hang out with people who have no ambition, you’ll have no ambition. If you hang out with critical people, you’ll become critical. The people you spend the most time around will influence what you’re like on a day-to-day basis.

The Bible tells us this about our spiritual growth: “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith” (Hebrews 12:2).

That’s why it’s so important to spend time with Jesus every day. Your spiritual growth depends upon it. You become more like Jesus when you spend time with him.

I highly recommend finding a special spot where you can spend time with God each day. Start with five, 10, or 15 minutes a day. It doesn’t matter when you do it—just do it! Grab your Bible, find your favorite chair, read for a few minutes, and then talk to God about what’s going on in your life.

Even Jesus made a habit of going to a place where he could talk with his heavenly Father. Luke 22:39 describes him going to the Mount of Olives to pray “as usual”.

If Jesus made it a point to spend time with his Father, won’t that habit benefit you, too? It’s the only way you’ll really start to become more like him.

Find Comfort In God

It’s in the Bible, Isaiah 66:13, NKJV. ” As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you

Our God may not be able to be seen but he still promises to be our comfort and to comfort us

Infinite, all-powerful, all-loving God is the one who comforts us. It’s in the Bible, Isaiah 51:12, NKJV. “I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who will die, and of the son of a man who will be made like grass?”

How can you put your comfort in Jesus he is everlasting when we put our comfort in man we become deceived because one may seem to bring comfort but may end up leaving or during on us leaving us in deceit to feel hurt and betrayed in Jesus he never leaves us he is always there even when we can’t see him he provides and shows us his love through miracles and experience he will always show us love and comfort we just have to put trust in him to truly feel his comfort

It’s in the Bible, 2 Thessalonians, 2:16-17, NKJV. “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work”

if you awaken to the thought that what God says that he is real and is always with us who has loved us unconditionally he will comfort your hearts and set up your life in every good thing in his word and in your work you maintain

Our God is our comfort and a good God always showing his love

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2

A New Spirit And Gift Of Flesh

Ezekiel 36:26

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

We live in a heart of sin which is why Jesus died for us on the cross to take all our sin from us when we come to Jesus and accept him he will take the spirit of sin from us and replace it with the Holy Spirit giving us a new spirit this doesn’t mean we won’t sin anymore it just means we become more aware of sin and wrongs in life we become more sensitive he says he will take our heart of stone out of your flesh that which is hardened in pain and sin and of mankind and will give you a heart of flesh he will give us a new heart of the spirit in the flesh of man giving us a clean heart and making it pure

He will fully turn our lives around from what we were it will be the ultimate change we just have to accept he is our savior announcing it to him and live in obedience to his word and when he sees action he will begin showing you that which you need to know in life right now

Prayer-Father purify my heart with your spirit in the name of Jesus Father take away that stony heart from me now present me with your spirit and give me a heart of flesh that is willing to do whatever you say in Jesus name , Amen.

When you ask this of him you become a whole new person born in spirit as a baby to the father you are willing to let him guide you like a parent and learn again and are more than willing enough to do what he wants of us

Open your heart to Jesus today and request in him a new spirit and new heart if he loved you enough to give his life out of love he loves you still enough to clean you and create in you a new heart and spirit just think of what love he can show you if he loved you enough to die for you

I pray that in your will you will find purity and a new heart of the spirit and will renew your flesh of the Holy Spirit-Amen

Why Has God Let Us Here

Sounds like a typical question that anyone would ask and could get a typical answer right

However in this scenario it’s a bit deeper than your typical thoughts what I am about to quote is something you hopefully take away thinking about in deeper contents than just a mark of a typical question

I spent much of that next week asking a question: if the God of heaven loves you infinitely and wants you in his presence every moment and if he knows that heaven is a much better place for you then why on earth has he left you here? -Bruce Wilkinson

I got this quote from a book published in 2000 almost 20 years ago called Prayer Of Jabez which I am again reading to finish reading that which I had never had an opportunity to finish reading it in my past walk with God and it has presented itself a new opportunity to read it again in my current walk with God

The question is as true as it can be God has immense respect and love for us that he lets us be who exactly we fit in ourselves to be but only asks for our love and respect in return even if we don’t he still goes on respecting and loving us anyway.

I spent much of that next week asking a question: if the God of heaven loves you infinitely and wants you in his presence every moment and if he knows that heaven is a much better place for you then why on earth has he left you here? -Bruce Wilkinson

The answer to this question could be of a number of several answers God may want us to learn something, God may want to use us for being an example, or God may want us to be the change for someone else and teach to someone on the love they may have never known. God may want you to finish a mission that you are on that he finds important even if you don’t understand it.

I’m sure maybe you could come up with other answers to this question but as I was reading this it brought light to me to really focus and put light on this question as earth is not a peace filled place or as beautiful as it could really be. God only wants us to enjoy life with him and be in his presence with him. Yet he leaves us where there is evil all around us and not a lot of peace and beauty why? Think about this in your own walk with God see if you can answer that question for yourself within your own walk. God wants the BEST for us and only the best so what do you need to do or change to give him your best and answer why you are here.

Love Is Patient- The Greatest Gift Is Love

The Greatest Gift Is Love

1 Corinthians 13

[ The Greatest Gift ] Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. …

Otherwise saying…

I may be able to speak the languages of men and even of angels but if I have no love my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell I may have the gift of inspires preaching I may have all the knowledge and understand all the secrets I may have all the faith needed to move mountains but if I have no love I have nothing I may give away eveything I have abs even give up my body to be burned but if I have no love this does me no good

with God’s love we are given the most greatest gift of all

1 Corinthians 13 Love is patient and God’s love shows that in how he is and how he patiently awaits us to love him speaks this love is patient love can not be forced it has to come on its own God is love only if you truly understand love for him he is always love of all love given to us in love amazing love Leave a ReplyEdit

Psalm 35 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Lord the Avenger of His People

A Psalm of David.

35

Oppose those who oppose me, Lord,

and fight those who fight against me!

2 Take your shield and armor

and come to me in my desperate need.

3 Lift up your spear and war ax

against those who come after me and attack me

Promise that you will save me.

4 May those who try to kill me

be defeated and disgraced!

May those who plot against me

be turned back and confused!

5 May they be like straw blown by the wind

as the angel of the Lord pursues them!

6 May their path be dark and slippery

while the angel of the Lord strikes them down!

7 Without any reason they set snares against me

and dug a deep hole to catch me.

8 But destruction will catch them before they know it;

they will be caught in their own trap

and fall to their destruction!

9 Then I will be glad because of the Lord;

I will be happy because he rescued and saved me.

10 With all my heart I will say to the Lord,

“There is no one like you.

You protect the weak from the strong,

the poor from the oppressor.”

11 Evil people testify against me

and accuse me of crimes I know nothing about.

12 They pay me back evil for good,

and I sink in despair.

13 when they were sick, I dressed in mourning;

I deprived myself of food;

I prayed with my head bowed low, and to my knees

14 as I would pray for a friend or a brother.

I went around bent over in mourning,

as one who mourns for his mother.

15 But when I was in trouble, they were all delighted

and gathered around to mock me

strangers beat me

and kept striking me.

16 Like those who would have there amusement from a cripple,[b]

they glared at me with hate.

17 How much longer, Lord, will you just look on doing nothing?

Rescue me from their assaults,

save my life from these lions!

18 Then I will thank you in the assembly of your people;

I will praise you before them all.

19 Don’t let my enemies, those liars,

gloat over my defeat.

Don’t let those who hate me for no reason

smirk with delight over my sorrow.

20 They do not speak in a friendly way;

instead they invent all kinds of lies about peace-loving people.

21 They accuse me, shouting,

“We saw what you did!”

22 But you, O Lord, have seen this.

So don’t be in hiding,Lord;

don’t keep yourself far away!

23 Rouse yourself, O Lord, and defend me;

rise up, my God, and he led controversy over me.

24 You are righteous, O Lord, so declare me innocent;

don’t let my enemies delight in me.

25 Don’t let them say to themselves,

“We are rid of him!

That’s just what we wanted!”

26 May those who gloat over my suffering

be completely defeated and confused;

may those who claim to be better than I am

be covered with shame and disgrace.

27 May those who want to see me acquitted free me

shout for joy and say again and again,

“How great is the Lord!

He is pleased with the success of his servant.”

28 Then I will proclaim your righteousness,

and I will praise you all day long each day of my life.

A Plea For Deliverance And Forgiveness

Psalm 25 New King James Version (NKJV)

A Plea for Deliverance and Forgiveness

A Psalm of David.

25

To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

O my God, I trust in You;

Let me not be ashamed;

Let not my enemies triumph over me.

Indeed, let no one who [a]waits on You be ashamed;

Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.

Show me Your ways, O Lord;

Teach me Your paths.

Lead me in Your truth and teach me,

For You are the God of my salvation;

On You I wait all the day.

Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses,

For they are from of old.

Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions;

According to Your mercy remember me,

For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.

Good and upright is the Lord;

Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.

The humble He guides in justice,

And the humble He teaches His way.

10

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth,

To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.

11

For Your name’s sake, O Lord,

Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

12

Who is the man that fears the Lord?

Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.

13

He himself shall dwell in prosperity,

And his descendants shall inherit the earth.

14

The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him,

And He will show them His covenant.

15

My eyes are ever toward the Lord,

For He shall [d]pluck my feet out of the net.

16

Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me,

For I am desolate and afflicted.

17

The troubles of my heart have enlarged;

Bring me out of my distresses!

18

Look on my affliction and my pain,

And forgive all my sins.

19

Consider my enemies, for they are many;

And they hate me with [f]cruel hatred.

20

Keep my soul, and deliver me;

Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You.

21

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,

For I wait for You.

22

Redeem Israel, O God,

I look to the lord for help in all times and he rescues me from toil and snares turn to me lord and be merciful to me

because I am lonely and weak relieve me from my worries and save me from all my troubles consider my distress and suffering and forgive all my sins which are of great number

see how many enemies I have see how much they hate me protect and save me keep me from defeat I come to you for safety that my goodness and honesty preserve me because I trust in you

From all your troubles and sin save your people o god Israel

Take all my burdens from me and love me show me your goodness and love save me from my wrong doers and persevere me for all my trust is in you and you alone
