Be In Obedience, Repent

So I told you all about the feather that God and the angels left me overnight on Friday night Saturday morning

I decided that since I had thought it was left by my spiritual Angels who are always with me and confirmed it I decided to keep the feather safe in the only place I knew best in my Bible

So I opened my Bible while I was upset going through my own battle with life issues and finding this feather at the time meant everything and actually still does

Sounds crazy that a Tiny feather could have so much importants in one little day but for me it’s Just more than AWESOME

So anyway I opened my bible and opened to

1 Samuel 16: 14-23

A Distressing Spirit Troubles Saul

14 But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him. 15 And Saul’s servants said to him, “Surely, a distressing spirit from God is troubling you. 16 Let our master now command your servants, who are before you, to seek out a man who is a skillful player on the harp. And it shall be that he will play it with his hand when the [g]distressing spirit from God is upon you, and you shall be well.”

17 So Saul said to his servants, [h]“Provide me now a man who can play well, and bring him to me.”

18 Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.”

19 Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said, “Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.” 20 And Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine, and a young goat, and sent them by his son David to Saul. 21 So David came to Saul and stood before him. And he loved him greatly, and he became his armorbearer. 22 Then Saul sent to Jesse, saying, “Please let David stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.” 23 And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.

Honestly this scripture was way over my head I’m still not understanding it really but I talked about it with a pastor Luke whom I am very close with who is where some of my writings on scripture ideas sometimes come from

So I asked him to help me know what this scripture was about and he first answered me in over the head pastor language but then telling me in English what the scripture was expressing

So in his first response to summarizing this scripture for me he responded

Saul is made a terror to himself. by disobeying God The Spirit of the Lord departed from him. If God and his grace do not rule us, sin and Satan will have possession of us. The devil, by the Divine permission, troubled and terrified Saul, by the corrupt humours of his body, and passions of his mind. He grew fretful, peevish, and discontented, and at times a madman”

That was his pastor language too over my head along with the scripture hahaha 😂 lol

So I went on to tell him I was lost and did not understand that it was still over my head

So the response he proceeded to give me in English was

“when we disobey God his spirit will leave us and only return if we repent”

I asked well how does that work he promised that he wouldn’t leave us

Again his response

“he doesn’t leave us but he may hide is face from us for a season to help grow as children of obedience”

———————————————————————So what I have gotten out of this is that God asks us to tell his story, love him and trust him with respect being faithful to him and teaches us to repent from our sin as we all sin and fall short from the glory of God that is why he died on the cross to save all mankind from their sin

So we need to trust and obey that which God asks or he with turn his head from us and leave us Until we repent for our sin and only until we repent and obey him will he again be with us

He never wanders from us only turns away to not take part in the sinful nature we are committing during these times of hiding his face and leaving us are when we face trials and tests to bring us again back to him but first and only first we need to repent and ask forgiveness for what we’ve done wrong for him to again lead us in the path we walk

These trials and tests are what builds -on our foundation -on our character and on our life creating who we become it is where our growth comes from like the lessons of a child only in faith and obedience

God wants our love and trust but give him respect and repent for your wrongs so that together you can grow in relationship and spiritual maturity in Him he is waiting when you are ready in your time

Are you ready?

Yes he’s waiting on you too

Be in obedience with him always and he will bless you as he has me
