In Broken Spirit Turn To God – Angel Takes Flight

One God, One God Alone

1 Timothy 2:5Good News Translation

5 For there is one God, and there is one who brings God and human beings together, the man Christ Jesus,

Verse Thoughts

We live in a pluralistic, pagan society, where all roads lead to God! All truth has become relative and every tree is seen as a god to be hugged! We live in a world that has turned its back on the One, True Creator – a world that is embracing any foolish philosophy of man that takes their fancy.

We have become a race that has twisted every truth in the Word of God and formed a myriad of false deities, after which fallen men are lusting. But there is one God, and not the multiple gods’ of man’s imagination.

And God has given an unfolding revelation of Himself, and His singular authority in the universe, in His Word. And God has given us a final and full revelation of Himself, in the lovely person and face of Lord Jesus Christ, Himself.

No one comes to the Father by Me, were the words of Jesus. Every man and woman; every boy and girl, every saint and sinner; every prophet, priest and king have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. And the only way to God is through Christ.

Christ is the single intermediary and singular Mediator between God and man. Some see this as exclusive, and indeed it is, for there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved, but it demonstrates God’s wisdom and grace, for He did not give multiple ways to come back into fellowship with Himself, but one simple way – believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

God did not make it difficult for man to come to Him. The Lord made the way of salvation so simple that even a little child could understand. Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again, so that whosoever believes on HIM, will not perish but have everlasting life.

No one comes to the Father but by Me, were the words of Christ to a lost race of sinners, for He is the Word of God, Who was made flesh and was chosen to be the one intermediary; the singular intercessor; the sole adjudicator; the only mediator between God and man. The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory – glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Be Accepting And Supportive In All

Galatians 6:2 (English Standard Version) Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Verse Thoughts
Believers in Christ are fellow-members of His body, which is the Church. All are children of God and all have been born of the Spirit. All have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son. All have received eternal life as a free gift of God’s grace, and all have been granted an inheritance, that is kept for us in heaven.

Each member of Christ’s body is accountable to the Lord for the way we live, but we also are responsible for the attitudes we adopt, and the actions we take towards our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. We each have a responsibility to support and encourage fellow believers, and are called to bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfil the law of Christ.

In the previous verse, the spiritual believer is instructed to help to restore a brother or sister, who has fallen into sin – but to do it with gentleness and Christ-like consideration. Indeed, the spiritual one is warned against being adversely influenced by the carnal behaviours, or led astray by a misguided brother, lest they also are tempted into similar, ungodly ways, or fall into carnality themselves. Paul instructs those that are spiritual to restore those who are not walking by means of the Spirit – or who have been overtaken by worldly sin, the wiles of Satan or fleshly carnality.

However, in this verse, it is caring concern for a brother in Christ, who has become heavily burdened or deeply distressed, with whom the spiritual Christian should be concerned. Every one of us has areas in life by which we are weighed down, discouraged and deeply burdened, and the instruction to come alongside and help one another, is identified as fulfilling the law of Christ.

The Lord Jesus Himself explained the distinguishing qualities of this “law of the spirit of life’, which is found in John 13:34 – where we read a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. Love for God and love for our brothers and sisters in Christ is the fulfilling of the law – but it can only be carried out, by the power of the indwelling, Holy Spirit, in the life of a spiritual believer – i.e. a Christian, who is walking in spirit and truth.

There is much misunderstanding concerning the difference between spirituality and maturity in our Christian walk. Maturity is a life-long process, which takes place over time – as we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, study His word and apply its principles in our life. The spiritual believer is one who abides in Christ, obeys His commands, honours His name, is growing in grace and is becoming more Christ-like with every passing day. The more we die to our self-life, and live for Christ, the more we mature in our Christian walk, and the more Christ-like we become.

Spirituality, however, is not a process but a state. We are either spiritual at a given point in time or we are not spiritual! We do not become more spiritual or less spiritual with each passing day. At any given time in a believer’s life we are EITHER walking in the spirit and truth OR we are living in fleshly carnality.

We are either spiritual or we are fleshly – we are either living for God or living for Self – we are either in fellowship with our heavenly Father or we are out of fellowship with Him – because the antithesis of spirituality is carnality. Jesus said: Whoever is not with Me is against Me, and whoever does not gather with Me scatters, while Peter, who was prompted by the Holy Spirit to confess Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God, became a fleshly tool in the hands of Satan, soon after his great spiritual revelation from God.

Christians do not progress towards spirituality in the same way that they progress towards spiritual maturity. Just as one is either saved or not saved, at a given point in time, a believer is either spiritual or not spiritual, and there is no middle ground. When we sin in our Christian walk, we are unspiritual and lose fellowship with our heavenly Father. However, as soon as sin is confessed, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and return us into fellowship with Himself – and spirituality is once again restored.

Let us seek to be those that are spiritual, and are enabled to restore those that have fallen and to bear one another’s burdens.. in humility and gentleness. Let us die to self and live our life to the glory of God, so that we may mature in the faith, grow in grace and become a living testimony to the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

To fully live the righteousness of God’s statute we are to carry one another’s burdens which means love each other in a caring manner and support and encourage each other in a delightful way for negative thoughts lead to negative tongues and negative lifestyles God wants us to love one another not be criticizing to each other let ourselves die of the world and live in Christ being fully supportive of each other

As spoken from the commentary above from Source: https://dailyverse.knowing-jesus.com/galatians-6-2 Let us die to self and live our life to the glory of God, so that we may mature in the faith, grow in grace and become a living testimony to the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 6:2

Bear ye one another’s burdens
Which may be understood either of sins, which are heavy burdens to sensible sinners, to all that are partakers of the grace of God; Christ is only able to bear these burdens, so as to remove them and take them away, which he has done by his blood, sacrifice, and satisfaction; saints bear one another’s, not by making satisfaction for them, which they are not able to do, nor by conniving at them, and suffering them upon them, which they should not do, but by gently reproving them, by comforting them when overpressed with guilt, by sympathizing with them in their sorrow, by praying to God for to manifest his pardoning grace to them, and by forgiving them themselves, so far as they are faults committed against them: or else the frailties and infirmities of weak saints, which are troublesome, and apt to make uneasy, are meant; and which are to be bore by the strong, by making themselves easy with them, and by accommodating themselves to their weakness, and by abridging themselves of some liberties, which otherwise might be lawfully taken by them; or afflictions may be designed, which are grievous to the flesh, and are bore by others, when they administer help and relief under them, whether in a temporal or spiritual way; and when they condole them, and sympathize with them, bear a part with them, and make others’ griefs and sorrows their own:

and so fulfil the law of Christ;
which is the law of love to one another, ( John 13:34  John 13:35 ) in opposition to the law of Moses, the judaizing Galatians were so fond of, and by which Christ’s disciples may be distinguished from those of Moses, or any others. This is a law or doctrine which Christ has clearly taught, and recovered from the false glosses of the Pharisees; it is his new commandment, which he has strengthened and enforced by his own example in dying for his people, and which he, by his Spirit, inscribes upon their hearts. The Jews speak of the law of the Messiah as preferable to any other.

“The law (they say F24

) which a man learns in this world is vanity, in comparison of (xyvm lv wtrwt

) “the law of the Messiah”, or Christ;”by “fulfilling”, it is meant, doing it, acting in obedience to it, and not a perfect fulfilling it, which cannot be done by sinful creatures.

A Lesson To Be Learned

I stole this from a friend’s Facebook new feed status I thought it appropriate to share may we all learn a lesson from it about the spear of the power of the tongue

Job 5:21You shall be hidden from the lash of the tongue, and shall not fear destruction when it comes.

Psalm 34:13Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.

They say be slow to speak and think before you speak I gotta say one of your worst weapons is your tongue and the words you speak for they go straight to the brain and heart sometimes crushing a soul like a dagger we need to be more aware of what things we speak and speak in good not tearing others down in deceit or criticism hope this be a lesson you learn and keep so that you can be more godly and more loving and peaceful to others

Job 6:30Is there any injustice on my tongue? Cannot my palate discern the cause of calamity

Job 15:5For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.

Saying Just the Right Thing at Just the Right Time! Proverbs 15:23

A man has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word! Proverbs 15:23

Don’t you love it when you say the right thing – in the right way – at just the right time? That is what our proverb is about today. It is about being wise enough to know when to speak – and not only that – but what to speak when you have the opportunity.

The beginning of this proverb starts with a Hebraism about the mouth. There is joy in having an answer of the mouth, which the way that this Hebraism would read. It has to do with the ability to speak well – or in this case to speak what helps others. When speaking of Moses’ complaint to God about his inability to speak, this similar Hebraism is used. Moses complained to God that he had a “heavy mouth.” This meant that he stuttered and stammered when he spoke. This speech problem made Moses think he could not be a spokesman for God. God gave him Aaron to speak for him, but we see plainly that Moses did not struggle to speak when the Spirit of God moved upon him to confront Pharaoh. The mouth of the man here in proverbs knows no such problem. He brings joy to others as they here the “answer of his mouth,” which means the perfect thing to say in the moment. Whether this is a word of teaching, reproof, correction, or training in righteousness – the best word to speak is one that is in agreement with God’s Word on the matter.

The prophet Nathan spoke the perfect word to David to bring him to repentance over his adultery and cover-up of his sin. Joshua spoke the perfect word to the people of Israel as they needed to decide whether they would serve the Lord. David spoke the perfect word to Goliath to remind him that God was going to give David victory because of Goliath’s mocking of God. Daniel had the perfect words to speak to Nebuchadnezzar when he needed his dream interpretted. Jesus always had the perfect word to speak to detractors, to those who were hungry for his Word, and to those who came to Him needy and longing for God’s grace and healing.

A timely word is delightful – both to the one who speaks it and to the one who receives it. There are so many who come to church hurting who need to hear such words. They long for a word of encouragement – for someone to lift them up. Others who are complacent and full of themselves need rebuke. Others still may need exhortation because they are timid about following the Lord radically. And a few who are long term church members, but who do not know Christ, need someone to love them by sharing the gospel with them so they can move from just being religious – to being Christians. No matter what the need, God will give us these “answers of the mouth.” He will do so as we surrender to Him and desire far more to speak the truth in love – than just to engage in small talk

Proverbs 15:23

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth

When his advice is asked, and he gives good and wholesome counsel, and that being taken succeeds; it is a pleasure to a man that he is capable of assisting his friend, and doing him service, or a common good, whether it be in things natural, civil, or religious; when his speech is with salt, seasoned with grace, and he knows how he ought to answer every man; when that which is good proceeds from him, and is to the use of edifying, and ministers grace to the hearers, and is acceptable to them; when with readiness he gives an answer to every man that asks him a reason of the hope that is in him, with meekness and fear, ( Colossians 3:6 ) ( Ephesians 4:29 ) ( 1 Peter 3:15 ) ; and a word [spoken] in due season, how good [is it]?

whether by way of advice and counsel to such who stand in need of it, or of exhortation and instruction to those that want it, or of comfort to those that are distressed; such is a word of promise spoken and applied by the Spirit of God to the hearts of his people in a time of need; and such is the Gospel of peace, pardon, righteousness, and salvation, as spoken by Christ and his ministers to weary and wounded souls; it cannot be well and fully expressed how sweet, how good, how suitable, as well as seasonable, it is: see ( Proverbs 25:11 ) ( Isaiah 50:4 ) .

Finding Joy

Psalm 40:8Open menu

New King James VersionOpen menu

I delight to do Your will, O my God,

And Your law is within my heart.”

Verse Thoughts

When David penned these words, they were in every respect a song of thankful worship to the Father that pointed to the coming Messiah, Who would be sent from heaven to become our sacrifice for sin. It spoke of the eternal Son of God Who humbled Himself to become a servant – Who did only those things that He heard from the Father. His life was a testimony that delighted to do the will of the Father, for God’s Law was treasured in His heart.

As redeemed children we have been bought with a price and saved by grace through faith. We are ambassadors of Christ and servants of God who are called to be His witnesses to a world in need. But however glorious our salvation and privileged our service, our calling first and foremost is to worship at His feet, to delight to do His will, to treasure His Word in our hearts and to remain in the center of His will for the rest of our life.

May our highest joy and greatest delight be to live in the centre of God’s will and to treasure His word in our heart.

May our lives be a sweet-smelling savour of thankful worship and reverential praise, so that we may live and move and have our being in the centre of His will – so that we may become true witness to our Father in heaven, and a true reflection of Christ within – so that through us, God will be glorified in the world.

Fathers Love Your Children

Ephesians 6:4
New King James Version

4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

What does Ephesians 6:4 mean?
After three verses dedicated to how children should obey parents, one verse is given specifically for fathers. As the head of the household, the father is charged with ultimate responsibility for the way the children are raised. In practice, this instruction is meant for both parents, and would have been understood that way by Paul’s readers.

Fathers are commanded not to agitate or irritate their children. The Greek word is parorgizete, which implies exasperation or frustration. In practice, this means avoiding unfair and cruel behavior, or blatant favoritism. Godly fathers are not to push their children toward anger. Anger can sometimes be a healthy emotion, yet can often lead to sin (Ephesians 4:26).

Instead, fathers (parents) are given a positive command to “bring them up.” In other words, Christians are expected to be highly involved in raising their own children. Two areas are mentioned. First, Paul includes discipline. Discipline involved learning self–control and the ability to restrain from personal desires in order to do what is right. Second, Paul adds the “instruction of the Lord.” We should be involved in teaching our children about God’s ways through both education and example.

According to Scripture, a father trains the child he loves (Proverbs 3:12), instructs him (Proverbs 13:1), and provides for his children (Proverbs 19:14).
Context Summary
Ephesians 6:1–4 gives instructions for children to obey their parents, and for parents to be careful in how they raise their children. Children who learn respect for proper authority will have a better chance at success in life. And, obedience to parents is the morally right way to behave. Parents, however, are to be careful not to antagonize their children. Instead of pushing them towards anger or frustration, Christian parents should give their children loving, God-centered teaching and discipline.

Chapter Summary
Paul gives specific instructions to children and fathers, stressing obedience and patience, respectively. He also directs servants to serve with sincerity and good intentions, as if they were working for Christ. Masters are warned not to be harsh: the same God who judges all will not give them preference over those they supervised. All Christians are called on to use the tools given us by God for surviving the attacks of the devil. These are imagined as pieces of a suit of armor. Paul ends this letter in his typical style, with prayer, blessings, and news about his plans

And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

As father You take the full responsibility of the family you are head of that family we are taught love through everything our children and wife honoring the wife as fathers and head of the family it is in all importance that fathers do not instigate and aggregate their children into spite or actions of aggression and acting gout but to raise them in a loving manner bringing them up in lessons of the lord and rebuke aggression and negativity encouraging positive actions and loving ways of raising children

We The People Are The Voice

John 15:5

New King James Version

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Verse Thoughts

The image of a branch gaining all its sustenance and strength from the parent vine is a beautiful description of man’s total dependence upon God, without Whom we can do nothing, for in Him we live and move and have our being.

When Jesus Christ, the Son of God walked the earth, He demonstrated this truth, for He lived His entire life in utter dependence upon the Father. I can do nothing of Myself, He said, I speak only that which I have seen from my Father. Though Jesus Christ was fully God, He lived His life in His humanity. Jesus lived as God intended man to live – in utter dependence upon God.

Christ walked in spirit and truth and only said and did those things that He heard from the Father. He demonstrated how man should life. He lived His life so that the life of God could be lived through the Son of Man in His humanity.

Although Jesus Christ was fully God, He drew all His strength from His Father in heaven, demonstrating how you and I should live our lives as God’s children – drawing all our strength from our Lord Jesus Christ, for without Him we can do nothing.

We are to walk in spirit and truth and to do only those things that we hear from Christ our Saviour, so that His life may be lived in us and through us.

Until we humbly confess that in and of ourselves we can do nothing, we will foolishly and unsuccessfully attempt to produce good fruit in our own strength. Let us meditate on this vital principle – that JESUS is the vine and we are the branches. We are to abide in HIM and allow HIS Spirit to live HIS life through us, just as He abode in the Father and did only those things that He heard from the Father – for apart from Me you can do nothing.

Upheld By Your Spirit

Psalm 51:12

New King James Version

12

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,

And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

What does Psalm 51:12 mean?

It has been said that sin “causes the cup of joy to spring a leak.” It certainly drained David’s cup of joy. He urgently asked God to restore the joy of his salvation. Adultery and murder had caused David to lose his joy and become depressed. Only God could restore the lost joy. It is far better to obey than to deliberately disobey, planning to later seek remedial help.

Jesus promised His abiding joy to those who keep His commandments. He said, “If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full” (John 15:10–11). In addition to David’s request for restored joy, he asked God to uphold him with a willing spirit. Such a spirit would keep David committed to God’s will and prevent him from falling into sin again.

Context Summary

Psalm 51:8–15 express David’s prayer for renewed joy, a clean heart, and a renewed spirit. This comes after confessing his sins in the prior passage. David also asks the Lord to restore his testimony so that he might teach transgressors the ways of God and lead sinners back to Him. David wants to praise the Lord joyfully.

Chapter Summary

This psalm opens with David’s plea to God to show him mercy. He asks God to blot out his transgressions, wash his iniquities, and cleanse him from sin. He admits his sinning was against God. He also confesses his human sin nature. David asks God to make him as white as snow by purging him with hyssop. He longs for joy to return to him, but knows he was suffering because God had turned away from him. He pleads with God for a clean heart and a right spirit. He does not want God to cast him aside and remove His Holy Spirit. David longs for a renewal of the joy of his salvation. If cleansing from sin occurred and joy returned to him, David would teach transgressors God’s ways, and sinners would be converted. He promises near the end of the psalm to declare God’s praise if God would forgive him. He knew it would be futile to offer a sacrifice to God, because God delights in a broken and contrite heart and not in sacrifices offered with an unrepentant heart. David closes the psalm with a prayer for God to bless Jerusalem

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

With so many negative things in this world and a negative year within 2020 alone it is hard to stimulate our joys we should be practicing praise in everything instead of worries giving us positive thoughts instead of negative thoughts prayers for joy and positive energy faith over fear pushing all negative energy away everything negative is of the devil not of God

My Prayer

Father you are an all knowing God your spirit is with us always knowing our situations in life and for each of us having our own struggles causing negative attention may we pray for the remembrance of the power of the happiness of your salvation in us reminding us of faith over fear in all situations validating us positive and praise and joys by your abundant spirit bless us in everything in honor of you

Not Under Law But Under Grace

Romans 6:14

New King James Version

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Verse Thoughts

In other passages in the Bible we know that Christ died FOR our sins but in this passage in Romans we know that Christ also died UNTO sin. In the first instance Christ died to pay the price of our sins which means that the price that Jesus paid for our sin was His death – but in the second case Christ died to break the power of sin in our life, which means that for the rest of the time that we live in this sinful world. sin does not have to have power over us.

When Christ died for our sins it was a once and for all payment and there is nothing more to do but to simply believe the gospel message that Christ died for our sins and was raised the third day – the result of which is that we are removed from the kingdom of Satan and placed into the family of God – forever – past present and future sins are paid for by the cross of Christ. At that moment in time we were placed IN Christ and as a result the cross has a secondary meaning to us – Christ died UNTO sin, so sin shall not have dominion OVER you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

In this passage we see that Christ also died UNTO sin, He died to break the power of sin in our everyday life – which means that sin does not have the power to dominate our lives as it does with non-believers. This is because we are in Christ. We were taken out of Adam at the point that we believed and placed into Christ. When we are IN Christ it means that we have His life living in us, and it is His life that delivers us from the power of sin – His life in our life – Our entirely new life in Christ – our new life and not the old sin pre-cross life (which is often referred to as the old sin nature, the old man or the Adamic nature).

When Christ died UNTO sin… in His omniscience He knew that one day you and I would trust in His name – and because we would one day believe in Him we are said to be IN CHRIST… we were In Christ even at the time that He went to the cross – just as every member of the human race is always born IN Adam… because He was our original forefather. That is why Paul was able to say I have BEEN crucified with Christ – I WAS Crucified with Christ – I died with Him and. my old sin nature died at the point that Christ died on the cross.

Praise God that Christ not only died FOR our sins, but He died UNTO sin so that the power of sin has been broken in our lives. We still have freewill and can allow sin to dominate if and when we choose. Let us not choose to allow sin to dominate our lives – rather let us choose to let Christ live in us and through us – to His praise and glory.

As Christians we are not to follow any other Statute but God’s if we do we live in sin not by God’s lifestyle when we live in sin we don’t live by God I feel on my own that Voting is a form of Judgment and only one shall be judge God by living of the world and following the way of it you are living under another rule one not of God It is so hard to find yourself not living in sin Jesus knew that that is why he sacrificed for all of us removing our sin but the Worldly always practices and finds judgment in our sin but by grace given by God giving his son on the cross erasing all sin Romans6:14 expresses it well

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace
