The Gift Of The Holy Spirit

John 7:38 New International Version (NIV)

Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

Whoever trusts in the Lord and believes in who he is and knows the word of scripture that he speaks, then the abundance of the Holy Spirit will shine through them for all to see. They will be in the spirit of Christ following by His law and not that of the world. They will flow with strength and joy of the body, and soul. Their spirit will be free flowing (living water) and will be loving and gentle as Jesus was. They will hault having anger but instead have respect and understanding. They will drink of the spirit all the time and will be renewed when the are thirsty.

God sent his son to save us from death instead sacrificing Jesus to suffer the death and take the nails for us. Before his hours to goto the cross he says this in John 14:26

MSG

“I’m telling you these things while I’m still living with you. The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you. I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught

So we as believers have become filled in overwhelming blessings by the Holy Spirit who takes care of us and teaches us so that we may learn in absence of Jesus

Jesus’ Parting Words to His Disciples – “Do not let your hearts be distressed. You believe in God; believe also in me. There are many dwelling places.

Jesus tells us not to be troubled in distress again reminding us of the living water he has sent in his name, the Holy Spirit.

Jesus speaks his words to his deciples saying this through verses John 14:16-21

John 14:16-21 New Living Translation (NLT)

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate,[a] who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.[b] 18 No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. 19 Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live. 20 When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”

It is also mentioned again in John 15 verse 26

John 15:26 New Living Translation (NLT)

26 “But I will send you the Advocate[a]—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.

The Holy Spirit continues to guide the people of earth in Jesus absence until his return it say this about the Holy Spirit in

1 Corinthians 12:8-11

1 Corinthians 12:8-11 The Message (MSG)

God’s various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God’s Spirit. God’s various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God’s Spirit. God’s various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful:

wise counsel

clear understanding

simple trust

healing the sick

miraculous acts

proclamation

distinguishing between spirits

tongues

interpretation of tongues.

All these gifts have a common origin, but are handed out one by one by the one Spirit of God. He decides who gets what, and when.

1 Corinthians 12:8-11 New Living Translation (NLT)

8 To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.9 The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. 10 He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. 11 It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have. Galatians speaks in Chapter 5 verse 16 & 25 telling us that the Holy Spirit will guide you if you are obedient to God’s word and will guide you away from the nature’s of sin if you allow his guidance among you. That if you live by the spirit he will guide everything in your life that you do.

Galatians 5:16 New Living Translation (NLT)

Living by the Spirit’s Power

16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.

Galatians 5:16-18 The Message (MSG)

My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God’s Spirit. Then you won’t feed the compulsions of selfishness. For there is a root of sinful self-interest in us that is at odds with a free spirit, just as the free spirit is incompatible with selfishness. These two ways of life are antithetical, so that you cannot live at times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on any given day. Why don’t you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?

Galatians 5:25-26 The Message (MSG)

Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives. That means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Each of us is an original.

Galatians 5:25 New Living Translation (NLT)

25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

John 14:16-21 The Message (MSG)

The Spirit of Truth

If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you. I will talk to the Father, and he’ll provide you another Friend so that you will always have someone with you. This Friend is the Spirit of Truth. The godless world can’t take him in because it doesn’t have eyes to see him, doesn’t know what to look for. But you know him already because he has been staying with you, and will even be in you!

“I will not leave you orphaned. I’m coming back. In just a little while the world will no longer see me, but you’re going to see me because I am alive and you’re about to come alive. At that moment you will know absolutely that I’m in my Father, and you’re in me, and I’m in you.

“The person who knows my commandments and keeps them, that’s who loves me. And the person who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and make myself plain to him.”

The Beginning

Genesis 1:1 New Living Translation (NLT)
The Account of Creation
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.[a]

Genesis 1:1-2 The Message (MSG)
Heaven and Earth
1 1-2 First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God’s Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss.

Before the beginning of existence God created the sky and earth

He Knew What No one Knew

Heavenly Realms Series

John 2:24 New Living Translation (NLT)
24 But Jesus didn’t trust them, because he knew all about people.

During the time he was in Jerusalem, those days of the Passover Feast, many people noticed the signs he was displaying and, seeing they pointed straight to God, entrusted their lives to him. But Jesus didn’t entrust his life to them. He knew them inside and out, knew how untrustworthy they were. He didn’t need any help in seeing right through them. For he knew things about people that no one else could tell you, he knew the lifestyle’s and sins of the world and he knew that faith would not be easy for any of the people.

Blessed Are The Poor

James 1:9 New Living Translation (NLT)

9 Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them.

Jesus Respects the poor, for the wealthy give of money for love and entertainment waiting what money they have on the things that are not of God but of the world and when they do they still have more to be able to give. However the poor have mearly nothing and still give in they’re honor unto the Lord and God give them praise. Mark 12:41-44 tells the story of just that a poor woman (widow) who gave all she had.

Mark 12:41-44 New Living Translation (NLT)

The Widow’s Offering

41 Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts. 42 Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins.[a]

43 Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. 44 For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.”

You see in the world and entertainment of the ungodly the rich tend to be wealthy yes. However they also tend to boast about it and think because they are wealthy they have everything and look down upon those who are less wealthy in dismay and disrespect. God honors the poor and show’s disappointment to the wealthy. For they live of their money many times and not in God’s glory thanking him for the wrath they have which God did make possible for them. For you see the rich believe they have everything when in reality their faith is weak and their thinking is altered and they waist what they could do good in honor of God with. They tend to think they are all most important and forget God in the forefront of their mind. Without God’s Grace and honor they are looked down on by God and have nothing. When the poor sleeping with nothing and tend to use that as their tool for drawing closer to God requesting any and all help they can gain from their trust in God and when they give they earn God’s honor and respect. For you see they draw closer to him and they’ve given what small gifts they can give many a time leaving them in debt of what they already didn’t have and this honoring God in trust that he will provide giving them what they need in exchange for all that they had to honor Him with and in turn being more wealthy than the wealthy for they live by the spirit in God’s honor than in the joy of the money and entertainment. So to God he gives them honor as they have nothing and leave what they have making them have even less and in this they truly have everything because they have trust in faith and God having the best honorable gift of the world not of that of the worldly. In this the poor may boast for they have reasons to boast about this and tell others of the glory and good work and honor God has shown them. They have the voice to tell of God’s stories and spread the word. The rich just gave there share and went on with life much of the time not thanking God or remembering God and acknowledging I’m in any way for they are more proud over their own earnings to see the faith and true honor in the earnings God gives. God shows honor on the poor for what little they may give when he knows that the wealthy have so much but only gift small amounts usually in greed when he knows they can honor him with a lot more for they have more than that’s poor person but they won’t.

Angels

Heavenly Realms Series

Hebrews 1:14 New Living Translation (NLT)

14 Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

Angels are only mere servants sent to protect and guide all who shall inherit salvation. God gave angels in place of him being with his Son to help him bring protection and salvation.

The Holy City

Revelation 21:2 New Living Translation (NLT)
2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

I stood and saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem ascending for heaven by God as like preparing for a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. This intimate moment when God sends his Son back and pours out the heavens.

Living In Full Honor

Heavenly Realms

Living the New Life

3 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.

Colossians 3:1-2 The Message (MSG)

He Is Your Life

3 1-2 So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspectives

You do this by showing love and acceptance of and towards others and living a godly lifestyle that honors him in everything that you do.

Humility

James 1:19 New Living Translation (NLT)

Listening and Doing

19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

James 1:19-21 The Message (MSG)

Act on What You Hear

19-21 Post this at all the intersections, dear friends: Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue, and let anger straggle along in the rear. God’s righteousness doesn’t grow from human anger. So throw all spoiled virtue and cancerous evil in the garbage. In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life.

my dear brothers and sisters be more willing to listen than to speak. control your anger, temper and rage for it does not help you live like God wants so get rid of eveything evil in your life and live more godly.

Humble yourselves and accept gods teachings thst is planted in your hearts this teaching can save you. God doesn’t honor anger.
