Are You Ready To Meet The Savior

Matthew 25:1-13 New Living Translation (NLT)

Parable of the Ten Bridesmaids

25 “Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids[a] who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3 The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, 4 but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. 5 When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

6 “At midnight they were roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’

7 “All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps. 8 Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’

9 “But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’

10 “But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. 11 Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’

12 “But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know you!’

13 “So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return.

God gave us life by creating us and sending his son to die on the cross for our salvation knowing that although he wanted acceptance from all his children there would be those that would not accept him and form a relationship with him

Matthew 25:1-13 expresses that as it talks about the second coming of Jesus and how when he returns we as believers should be ready for anytime as we do not know the timing or place of his return however he promises that he will be returning in many different passages Matthew 25 and the parable of the ten bridesmaids is only one passage of the several in God’s word.

Matthew 25:1-13

States that we need to have our oil lamps ready (word of God, the Bible) and we need to be ready to meet the bridegroom (Jesus) that if we procrastinate and aren’t ready and in his word we will miss the opportunity to leave with him and will be left behind. That if we ask to come with him after he already met us him saying to us he doesn’t know us as we were not all worried about meeting with him and having a relationship with him that we lost our opportunity as he was not important in our lives. Though even it through our wrong choice he always has loved us and to him the importance in his life was being number one in our lives and having that relationship. Yet if we did not show when he was ready he saw that he was not our number one in life and he was not important or impressed and we find ourselves lost and left out of a life forever with him. He talks in Matthew 25:1-13 about how he had ten bridesmaids (ten people) whom he had wanted to meet on his second coming and of the ten there were 5 faithful and 5 fools. Those who stayed in the word and formed the relationship and lamps of oil(God’s Word) with him these five knew the signs to accept for vision of signs of Jesus second coming. Those who were fools and did not bother with showing him that he was important to him and form that relationship and had not studied and had use of God’s Word with Christ did not recognize the signs and by the time they had it was too late and they had missed opportunity and were left behind never going when the time was ready and going with Christ.

Jesus wants you to accept him and have a relationship with him and read what his father had taught him and said so that you can fully know who he is and for you to truly be faithful to him showing him that he is not just there as an acquaintance but as your friend and something important in your faith and journey that he may feel proud and fulfilled in the relationship he’s built in us as we are in Christ.

In Christ

In Christ

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

This scripture speaks about the full faith in Christ Jesus for as humans we were brought to life because of God whom created Adam and Eve from where mankind was then created from the serpent tempting Adam and Eve in Genesis chapter 3 for in our lives we also become tempted by the serpent himself also creating us sin. Thus bringing in this scripture in Galatians 2 verse 20

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20 this speaks about humans in that when Christ died we also died to sin not saying that we don’t sin anymore but that sin was removed in our lives because of Christ’s death when he died he gave his life for all of our affliction and sins yet we continue to live only through Christ as he gave his life to save you and me that we no longer live within sin consuming us but through Christ have been saved from any and all wrongs we have done and continue to do when we falter. The life which we live not is in the belief in knowing we are automatically forgiven and saved in that Christ loved us all to remove what the serpent placed in our journeys along our past lives and that we now have belief that we are living for God in being reminded of Christ’s story of how he took all of our sins in death and we died in our old selves to create our new selves knowing that even if we still may sin which everyone will Christ has paid it all for us freeing our bond from the grips of Satan.

That our body is now in the body of Christ that we live for him and have been forgiven. That we now live and walk in faith in the Son of God in complete comfort of the love he has for us and that he gave himself for us to take away all our sin paying out our largest debt that only he God’s Son could pay by his death on the cross when our old self made of the serpent had tempted us and created us to live. Jesus has given his life to create us whole again and giving us this new life in him that we may be the people God had created us to be in his eyes he has given us back freedom and purity through Christ

We As Believers

In Acts 27 verse 22 says

Acts 27:22

And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.

1 Corinthians 3:15

If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

2 Corinthians 7:9

Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.

Philippians 3:7

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.

In Acts 27 verse 22 says

Acts 27:22

And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.

Take knowledge and heart in knowing that we as believers are blessed and honored in Christ Jesus. When we have loss of things within our lives weather it be loved ones or materialistic there will be no loss of life among us as believers even if there has been loss all that will be of loss is the materialistic and the journey traveled for one day amongst the palms we shall again see those of the ones whom passed once again and we will remain blessed in Christ with eternal life no life shall be lost we have been given the promise of eternal life next to the throne of God in peace.

It is written in God’s wording states in

1 Corinthians 3:15

If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

So though we may suffer loss of materialistic things we can have faith and peace in knowledge that we are saved and the journey we traveled was only a tiny piece of the best journey we are still yet to travel that of meeting with Jesus face to face and once again our loved ones who await your entry through the golden gates of heaven’s door it’s only a piece of the real journey it’s not full loss like that of materialistic items and it’s only a quest for the biggest blessing being by Gods side.

For he said 2 Corinthians 7:9

Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. Otherwise in another way of saying this

yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. For God is our guidance, protection, healing, and journey into a peaceful everlasting life as he promised when he saved us. Something to think about that God state’s only his word

Philippians 3:7

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Which in another term means- But Christ has shown me that what I once thought was valuable is worthless. Our journey with Christ is the biggest gift and the hardest journey amongst all the journeys and even that which we feel as loss for the bLessing God has promised to us that through him we are saved and given eternal life with him to see once again all our loved ones who we’ve never really lossed. We can take heart in knowing we as believers are saved

Life Giving Water

john 4:10 jesus answerd if you only knew what god gives and who it is thst is asking you for a drink you would ask him and he would give you life giving water

john 7:38 as the scripture says whoever believes in me, streams of life giving water will pour out of his heart

Rev 7:17 because of the lamb, who is in the center of the throne will be thete shephatd and he will guide them to spring of live giving water, and god will wipe every tear from there eyes

Whomever is a believer and follower of Christ has a full filling live of promised living water of abundance. What this means is that our life is always strong and overflowing with God’s love and intimate in his teachings and a everlasting life in him and a story of life, love and faith to share.

John 7:38 says- as the scripture says whoever believes in me, streams of life living water will pour out of his heart.

Jesus covers us intimately in an abundance for his love and life everlasting life and a spot in heaven if we are saved by accepting him as our savior and promises to be with us eternally forever no mater of anything that is a hinderance or where we falter that he never leaves us and is always loving and faithful through it all.

In john 4:10 jesus answerd if you only knew what god gives and who it is thst is asking you for a drink you would ask him and he would give you life giving water

He promises us a life of eternal peace knowing that he is with us and that all is going to be alright in the midst of him. He promises to always be with us and provide us what we need if we ask him for our needs. He will always provide and guide us should we choose to love and accept him and have a relationship with him.

Rev 7:17 because of the lamb, who is in the center of the throne will be thete shephatd and he will guide them to spring of live giving water, and god will wipe every tear from there eyes

Jesus is the lamb of God given an automatic seat in the throne by his father, our Heavenly Father, God and through Jesus life and love and proclaiming him as our savior and having a relationship with him we are also promised automatic entry into a seat in heaven as well. Jesus is our Shepard helping you lead us on the path which is of him and not be strayed yet only if we follow and trust in him. He fills us with all the life he has for us to show and do the right things for others to know him also. He wants us to overflow and boast in his life and he will wipe away all of our tears and worries and take them all from us for us to start fresh in what needs need to be attended to. He is a faithful friend, a savior, a man of truth and honor and so much more and all he wants is trust built and a relationship with him so that he can give you the best of the best in all he sees fit for each one as he sees in whom they are.

Trusting God When You Don’t Understand

Shane Linville

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).

I know many people who ask God to guarantee their success before trying what he has asked them to do, but that’s not faith.

Faith always requires risk. Faith means you obey even when you don’t understand it.

For example, forgiveness never seems like a good idea before you do it, but it’s one of the greatest tests of your faith. When someone hurts you, it may not seem right to forgive that person. It may not appear just. But forgiveness is always the right choice, regardless of whether or not you can understand it.

Remember when you were a kid and your parents told you to do something that didn’t make sense you? But now you can look back with 20/20 hindsight and understand your parents’ perspective.

That’s how it works with God, too.

Faith is doing what’s right even when it seems absurd. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding” . You never know the whole picture, but God does.

The Bible gives us a great example of this in the story of Gideon in Judges 7. Gideon took 300 Israelites to battle 135,000 enemy soldiers. The odds were 450-to-1. God had the soldiers take torches, trumpets, and clay pots—a command I’m sure Gideon thought was ludicrous.

Then, God told Gideon to put the clay pots over the torches so the light couldn’t be seen at night and to go surround the enemy’s camp. God said, “When I tell you to, blow the trumpets, break the pots, and let torchlight suddenly shine out in the darkness. It will look like a huge army is surrounding the camp. It will cause mass confusion, and the enemy soldiers will end up fighting each other.”

Gideon obeyed, even though it didn’t make any sense! The Israelites blew their trumpets, broke their pots, and revealed the light from their torches. The enemy soldiers woke up in shock and started fighting each other instead of the Israelites. Gideon did what God told him to do, and the Israelites won the battle.

Sometimes God tells you to do something that appears foolish—like going into battle facing overwhelming odds. Faith is obeying God even when you don’t understand what he’s asking you to do.

You can’t live by faith without risk. But God knows why he is asking you to do it. You can trust him.

Finding Comfort In Jesus

Job 16:5

But I would strengthen you with my mouth, And the comfort of my lips would relieve your grief.

Saying I could strengthen you with my advice to bring you comfort

The Lord doesn’t want us in distress he wants us to find Comfort in him to talk to him about all of our needs and trust in his guidance

Psalm 119:50 New King James Version (NKJV)

50

This is my comfort in my affliction,

For Your word has given me life.

In my suffering your words bring me comfort of the promise you have given me by giving me life

In his comfort he takes all our suffering as his own to bring us comfort

The father doesn’t want us to be discomforted or to grieve he wants to bring us comfort through him and for us to release it all at his feet so that we find comfort

Live In Passion Of Christ

Colossians 3:5

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

Galatians 5:24

And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

Colossians 3:23

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people

1 Thessalonians 4:5

not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God;

You should not use it to please your own desires like the people who do not know God.

in other words live not in sin of man and the world for they lead you down wrong path in the footsteps of evil but live in the passions of Christ laying all sin at the foot of the cross and in work working for him in all passionate ways rather than working for that of man do not use sin to please your own desires like that of man but rather use it for good like those whom know God are passionate in all desires but those who live of they’re own desires are like the people who know no God

I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. -Proverbs 8:17

Live In Him

Genesis 3:22

Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”—

The Lord God said, “Just like one of us, the man can now tell the difference between good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out and pick fruit from the tree of life and eat it. If he does, he will live forever.

Genesis 9:3

Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.

Everything of the earth that lives and moves is food for man.Just as I also gave the green herbs and plants, I have given you everything.

God has given man everything including freedom and knowledge he wants to give the gift of abundance because he loves you and I as man he says I have given you everything from living to plants including the knowledge to know good from evil we can’t ask for more and he tells us not to eat from the fruit from the tree of life and if we abide in obedience to Him in this knowledge man (we) shall live forever

Put Your Trust In The Lord

The Bible says

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Put your trust in the Lord with all your heart everything you have, lean not on the knowledge of man but in all you do acknowledge Him and he will guide your ways

God wants a relationship of trust and respect from us he wants to help lead you in the way that’s right that you are always loved and safe

It says in 2 Samuel 22:3

2 Samuel 22:3

The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.

Saying…The God in who brings me strength and is my great protection which in who I am safe he protects me like a shield defending me and keeping me from harm he is my savior he keeps me from violence and safe of harm

God wants our trust in him and a relationship with him so that he can build us up in image of him and strengthen who we are and protect and lead us from going astray in a guidance that is safe for us

When Temptation Calls, Just Hang Up

Shane Linville

“A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is arrogant and careless” (Proverbs 14:16).

It’s common sense that if you don’t want to get stung, stay away from the bees! If you don’t want to get burned, don’t get close to the fire! If you don’t want to fall off the cliff, don’t hang off the ledge!

The goal is not to see how close you can get to temptation but rather how far away from it you can stay.

Proverbs 14:16 says, “A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is arrogant and careless”. You might think you can handle temptation, but who are we kidding? You need to do a frank assessment. You need to analyze when and where you are most tempted and vulnerable. Then you need to stay away from those situations as much as you can.

The Bible says to run from temptation: “I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws” (Psalm 119:59). If you have to physically remove yourself, do it! When Potiphar’s wife tempted Joseph, he left his coat and split. Sometimes you may have to leave your coat. Get out of the situation. Run from it. Don’t stick around.

When you’re tempted, get up and change the channel. Or turn on music. Go for a walk. Read the Bible. Call a Christian friend in your small group. Do something to break the spell.

Here is some practical advice: Don’t ever try to argue with the Devil. You’ll lose every time. He’s had thousands of years to think up lines to counter anything you could come up with. Don’t rationalize it. Don’t justify it. Don’t argue it. The key thing to do is break the focus. Don’t look at the cookies and repeat, “I don’t want them! I don’t want them!” Turn around! The more you fight a feeling, the more it grows in intensity.

When temptation calls you on the phone, don’t try to argue. Just hang up, and go do something else.
